Job summary

ARX Robotics is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to connect Mithra OS with customers’ real‑world operations. You will serve as the on‑site technical expert, translating customer needs into robust integrations and leading deployments from planning to live troubleshooting.

This role blends systems thinking with hands‑on software work across robotics and defense domains. You will build custom extensions and data flows via modern APIs/SDKs, partner with customers to shape requirements, and drive

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and deploying software integrations for robotics, defense, or complex industrial systems (C++ & ROS2).
• Strong fundamentals in API integration, service development, and robust testing.
• Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data modeling, event-driven architectures, and networking.
• Ability to partner with customers to translate needs into clear technical requirements.
• Systems-level mindset for software, hardware, networks, and field operations.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex systems in real-world environments.
• Calm, clear problem solving under field pressure.
• Excellent English communication; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Mithra OS into customers' operational systems on-site.
• Develop and deploy custom extensions, adapters, data flows via APIs and SDKs.
• Translate customer requirements into reliable, field-ready integrations.
• Lead technical deployment at customer sites, from planning to live troubleshooting.
• Conduct field demonstrations to prove system value.
• Channel customer feedback to influence the product roadmap.
• Ensure integrations are maintainable, observable, and robust in real-world use.
