Job summary

SBFM is looking for an experienced Area Supervisor to join our field-based team covering Dartford, Kent and surrounding areas. The role requires travel between sites and ensuring service delivery meets client expectations.

You will manage frontline operatives, perform audits, and uphold health and safety standards across all sites. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential; IOSH Managing Safely is preferred or to be completed within three months.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Possess IOSH Managing Safely qualification or be willing to complete the training with SBFM within the first 3 months of employment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• IT literate.
• Proactive, detail oriented, organized and able to work autonomously.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK to all client sites as required.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and strong service delivery focus.
• Experience in facilities management or contract cleaning beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction in line with KPIs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships at local level.
• Conduct regular audits and resolve issues to ensure cleaning standards and specifications are met.
• Line management, inductions and training of frontline operatives.
• Support mobilisation of new contracts via visits, inductions and training.
• Oversee health and safety compliance across all sites.
• Conduct stock checks and manage orders for cleaning materials and equipment.
• Cover cleaning with the existing workforce when needed.
• Support or cover other Area Supervisors’ areas as required.
• Ensure accurate records of visits, activities, and communications in IT systems.
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers and Account Managers for smooth operations.
• Respond promptly to escalations from senior management.
• Identify and raise concerns or improvement opportunities to senior management.
