Job summary

SBFM Ltd is seeking an experienced Area Supervisor to oversee field-based services across Dartford, Kent and surrounding areas. The role requires regular travel between client sites within the region and detailed liaison with operations management.

You will manage frontline teams, ensure health and safety compliance, and support mobilisation of new contracts through site visits, inductions and training. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar Area Supervisor or field-based role.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to complete within first 3 months.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• IT literate and able to use standard software and systems.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction in line with KPIs.
• Build and maintain strong local client relationships.
• Conduct regular audits and resolve issues to ensure standards.
• Line management, inductions and training of frontline operatives.
• Support mobilisation of new contracts through site visits and training.
• Oversee health & safety compliance across all sites, ensuring policy adherence.
• Conduct stock checks and manage ordering of cleaning materials/equipment.
• Cover cleaning using existing workforce and on-site shifts when required.
• Support or cover other Area Supervisors' areas as needed.
• Ensure accurate records of visits and activities using IT systems.
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers and colleagues for smooth operations.
• Respond promptly to escalations from Operations Directors and leadership.
