Job summary

SBFM is seeking an experienced Area Supervisor to oversee field-based service delivery across Chester and North Wales. You will maintain high standards, manage frontline teams and ensure compliance with KPIs while travelling between client sites as required.

You will lead inductions, support new contracts, and maintain strong client relationships, while actively contributing to site health & safety and operational excellence. A full driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Possess the IOSH Managing Safely qualification or be willing to complete the training with SBFM within the first 3 months of employment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• IT literate; able to use IT systems effectively.
• Self-motivated, proactive, detailed and well organised.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction in line with KPIs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships at local level.
• Conduct regular audits and resolve issues to ensure cleaning standards.
• Line management, inductions and training of frontline operatives.
• Mobilise new contracts through site visits, inductions and training.
• Oversee health and safety compliance across all sites.
• Stock checks and ordering cleaning materials and equipment.
• Cover cleaning as needed and manage workforce utilization.
• Support or cover other Area Supervisors’ areas when required.
• Ensure correct use of IT systems and maintain records of visits and communications.
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers and Account Managers for smooth operations.
• Respond to escalations from Operations Directors and senior management.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
