Job summary

SBFM Ltd seeks an experienced Area Supervisor to lead field operations across Chelmsford and surrounding areas. You will manage frontline teams, ensure high cleaning standards, and maintain strong client relationships while travelling between sites in the UK.

The role requires IOSH Managing Safely or willingness to complete, excellent communication, and IT literacy. A full driving licence and willingness to travel are essential, with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar supervisory role.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to complete within 3 months.
• Excellent communication and IT literacy.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and well-organised.
• Full, clean driving licence with willingness to travel in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high service standards and client satisfaction against KPIs.
• Build and maintain local client relationships.
• Conduct audits and resolve issues to meet standards.
• Line management, inductions and training of frontline operatives.
• Support mobilisation of new contracts with site visits and training.
• Oversee health & safety compliance across sites.
• Manage stock checks and ordering of materials and equipment.
• Cover cleaning tasks and utilise the existing workforce when needed.
• Support or cover other Area Supervisors’ areas as required.
• Use IT systems and keep records of visits and activities.
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers and Account Managers.
• Respond to ad hoc requests and escalations from senior management.
• Identify and raise concerns or improvement opportunities.
