Job summary

Converge Technology Solutions UK is seeking a customer-focused Field Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role involves onsite warranty break/fix repairs, installations, and de-installations for desktops, laptops, and servers across our customer base.

Working independently, you will diagnose hardware faults, keep customers informed, and collaborate with the call allocation team to ensure high service standards and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Previous field service or hardware repair experience.
• Strong hardware repair and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete break/fix repairs and service calls at customer sites.
• Carry out installations and de-installations of desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Keep job details updated before leaving customer premises.
• Maintain communication with the call allocation team throughout the day.
• Ensure proper parts labelling and return to Head Office.
• Build positive customer relationships and deliver a professional service.
• Adhere to health and safety, and company processes.
• Support sustainability initiatives and improvement projects.
