Job summary

Orbit Credit Services is seeking a Field Collections Agent to visit customers at their homes, offering empathy and practical solutions to help them manage their finances.

You will visit customers within Croydon, discuss payment options, and set up repayment plans while educating them about potential consequences of non-payment. The role is 40 hours a week with flexible shifts (8am–8pm) and multiple pattern options.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Comfortable meeting customers face-to-face in their homes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain options clearly.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to resolve arrears and discuss payment options.
• Manage accounts for both regulated and non-regulated clients, including reconnection visits.
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with client services.
• Educate customers about consequences of non-payment.
• Use Orbit-supplied iPad to update account outcomes in real time.

Location: Within a 90-minute travel radius of your home (applicants must reside within Croydon)

Salary: From £28,665 + £4,200 per annum car allowance + uncapped monthly bonus as a guide our current Field team earn monthly bonuses from £200-£400

Earnings Potential: Up to £35,765 per year (inclusive of car allowance)

Hours: Flexible, 40 hours per week (including peak shifts)

About The Role

As a Field Collections Agent, you'll be the friendly face of Orbit, meeting customers at their homes to help them find a way forward with their finances. You'll offer empathy, guidance, and practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Visit customers to resolve outstanding arrears and discuss payment options
• Handle accounts for both regulated and non-regulated clients. This will include reconnection visits
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with client services
• Educate customers about the potential consequences of non-payment
• Use an Orbit-supplied iPad to update account outcomes in real time

Working Hours

We Offer a 40-hour Workweek With a Supportive Approach To Work-life Balance. Your Visits Will Be Scheduled Across The Following Operating Window

• Monday-Friday visiting times are between 8am-8pm
• With a number of shift pattern options available you can choose between a 4 day or 5 day working week.

Requirements

• Clear criminal record
• No CCJs, IVAs, or bankruptcies in the last 6 years
• Full driving licence (max 6 points), own car, and will require business insurance
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working independently
