Job summary

Orbit Credit Services is recruiting a Field Collections Agent to visit customers at their homes within Newport-area travel radius. You will offer empathy, guidance, and practical solutions to help customers manage their finances.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with shift options, including evenings, and you may earn uncapped bonuses up to £400 monthly. A car, driving licence, and computer on the go are required.

Qualifications

• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
• Prefer candidates who enjoy independent outdoor work and face-to-face engagement.
• Values flexibility and autonomy in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to resolve arrears and discuss payment options.
• Handle accounts for regulated and non-regulated clients, including reconnection visits.
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with services.
• Educate customers about consequences of non-payment.
• Update account outcomes on an Orbit-supplied iPad in real time.

Location:

Within a 90-minute travel radius of your home (applicants must reside within Newport)

Salary:

From £28,665 + £4,200 per annum car allowance + uncapped monthly bonus as a guide our current Field team earn monthly bonuses of up to £400

Earnings Potential:

Up to £35,765 per year (inclusive of car allowance)

Hours:

Flexible, 40 hours per week (including peak shifts)

About The Role

As a Field Collections Agent, you'll be the friendly face of Orbit, meeting customers at their homes to help them find a way forward with their finances. You’ll offer empathy, guidance, and practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Visit customers to resolve outstanding arrears and discuss payment options
• Handle accounts for both regulated and non-regulated clients. This will include reconnection visits
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with client services
• Educate customers about the potential consequences of non-payment
• Use an Orbit-supplied iPad to update account outcomes in real time

Working Hours

We Offer a 40-hour Workweek With a Supportive Approach To Work-life Balance. Your Visits Will Be Scheduled Across The Following Operating Window

• Monday–Friday visiting times are between 8am-8pm
• A number of shift pattern options available, you can choose between a 4 day or 5 day working week.

Requirements

• Clear criminal record
• No CCJs, IVAs, or bankruptcies in the last 6 years
• Full driving licence (max 6 points), own car, and will require business insurance
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working independently
