Job summary

RES is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer to support our renewables division across East England. You will conduct on-site surveys, design heat pump systems, prepare quotations, and manage handovers with installers and homeowners.

You will provide expert technical support remotely, maintain CRM records, and ensure MCS compliance on regional projects. A consultative approach and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating.
• LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation qualification.
• G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS, and knowledge of MCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducting technical site surveys, agreeing system specifications with installers/homeowners, producing on-site quotations and commissioning heat pump systems.
• Producing room-by-room heat loss calculations and design/production of technical proposals.
• Acting as the Nominated Technical Supervisor for MCS projects and ensuring subcontracted installations comply with Building Regulations.
