Job summary

RES Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to work field-based across East England. You will conduct site surveys, design heat pump systems, and deliver on-site quotations and commissioning, ensuring projects meet MCS and Building Regulations.

You will produce detailed heat-loss calculations, proposals, and handovers while providing technical support to installers and homeowners. A customer-focused, consultative approach is essential, with travel across the region as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating.
• Heat pump design & installation knowledge (LCL/BPEC).
• Knowledge of G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS and MCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys, agree system specs with installers/homeowners, produce on-site quotations, commission Air Source Heat Pump systems, and complete handovers.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using design tools; compile proposals and quotations; maintain CRM records.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects to ensure installations meet MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support; maintain relationships with installers; serve as a primary technical contact.
