Job Advert: Female Teacher of PE - 0.8 FTE - Leyland Secondary School

Location: Leyland, Lancashire

Position: Female Teacher of PE

Hours: 0.8 FTE (with potential for full-time flexibility)

Start Date: September 2025 Term

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across various year groups, promoting both fitness and enjoyment.
• Develop engaging and inclusive lessons to encourage active participation in physical education.
• Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential in both theory and practical lessons.
• Uphold school policies regarding behaviour, health, and safety.
• Opportunities to cover other specialisms or subjects with pre-set work, if full-time hours are preferred.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential.
• Specialism in PE: Ability to plan and deliver engaging PE lessons to secondary school students.
• Female PE Teacher: As part of our commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students, we are looking for a female teacher for this role.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to cover other subjects if needed to complete the timetable.
