Job description

I am a lady in my early 50s with Bethlem Myopathy living in the Watnall area of Nottingham. I am looking for a reliable, kind, conscientious, friendly professional with a can‑do attitude and good sense of humour. Experience of working in a caring role in someone's own home is preferable, but not essential, as full training and support will be given.

Solo Support Services recognises that everyone has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect. We will actively promote the safety, health and well‑being of everyone in our care by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate within the organisation. We believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

I live in my own home with my husband and my two small friendly dogs. I really enjoy cooking, baking and watching Netflix. I already have a team of carers who have supported me for many years and would be a great source of support to anyone new who joins my team. Paid shadowing, training sessions and online training. Supportive probation program. Access to the blue light card discount scheme. In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro‑rata for part‑time positions).
  • Company pension scheme after 3 months' service, subject to the scheme rules.
  • Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
  • Free training and development for all roles.
  • Access to wellbeing and support tools.
  • 'Star of the Month' rewards.
