Family Solicitor, 6+ PQE, Dorset, £55,000-£70,000 (DOE)

A well-established and expanding law firm in Plymouth is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor to join its dedicated family law team. THE ROLE

The role involves managing a varied caseload of family law matters from initial client instruction through to successful resolution. You will provide expert advice across the full spectrum of family law, including divorce and separation, child arrangements and parental responsibility issues, cohabitation disputes and agreements and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. The work also includes handling domestic abuse matters and preparing applications for protective injunctions. In addition, you will advocate on behalf of clients in court hearings, negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes, while supporting and mentoring junior team members by sharing knowledge and contributing to the department’s ongoing growth and development.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a qualified Solicitor with approximately 6+ years’ PQE as a Family Solicitor. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in divorce, finance and private children work, combined with excellent technical ability, communication and client care skills. You should be able to demonstrate empathy, professionalism and emotional intelligence in your interactions with clients and colleagues.
