Facilities Supervisor - Nottingham

Permanent | Full-time

Location: Nottingham

Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, hands‑on professional looking to take ownership of day‑to‑day site operations and ensure a safe, compliant, and well‑maintained working environment.

Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of the site, supporting both hard and soft FM services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily facilities operations across the site, ensuring all areas remain safe, functional, and compliant
  • Supervise contractors, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed to agreed standards
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance activities, escalating issues where required
  • Carry out routine site checks, inspections, and audits
  • Assist with health & safety compliance, including risk assessments and permit‑to‑work processes
  • Coordinate minor repairs, site improvements, and office moves
  • Act as a point of contact for staff, contractors, and visitors regarding FM‑related queries
About You
  • Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or building services role
  • Strong understanding of H&S and compliance requirements
  • Confident coordinating contractors and supporting maintenance activities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
