A rail service provider in Leeds seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its Plant Maintenance and Facilities Team. In this role, you will take ownership of maintenance tasks and ensure equipment runs efficiently within a safety-critical environment. You should have a Level 3 NVQ or similar apprenticeship in Engineering and experience in a maintenance setting. HOURS : 35 per week Monday to Friday early / late day shifts
Were looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Plant Maintenance and Facilities Team at our TrainCare Centre. Whether youre already part of Northern and ready for your next step or youre an experienced engineer from another industry looking to bring your expertise to rail this role offers the chance to take real ownership.
Youll be part of the team that keeps our depot equipment running safely and efficiently and youll do it as a self-managing engineer. That means planning your own work managing your own safe system of work and signing off your own maintenance and repairs to the highest standards. Its a role that blends hands‑on technical skill with genuine responsibility and independence.
