Job description
EYFS Part- Time Teacher

Location: Southampton

Start Date: February 2026

Contract: 2 days per week, Probably Thursday and Friday

Pay: Paid to scale (£168 – £233 per day)

About the Role

An average sized Primary school near the heart of Southampton is seeking an experienced EYFS teacher to commit to a job share role starting February. This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially until the end of the academic year but could be extended.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year R Class using Tapestry, working closely with a year group partner and a full time LSA. The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

  • Qualified Primary Teacher with an EYFS specialism
  • Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND
Requirements
  • UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Year R children
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
