Job summary

M&S Opticians is seeking a Sales Advisor to deliver high-quality eye and hearing care services while promoting store offerings. You will optimise sales opportunities, maintain customer records, manage stock and provide exceptional customer service.

You will assist patients in selecting eyewear, educate on care, perform basic adjustments, schedule appointments and support contact lens fitting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Commercial awareness to maximise sales opportunities.
• Optical or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promote optical and hearing services within the store to drive appointments
• Maintain accurate customer records and manage stock levels
• Provide outstanding customer service and handle enquiries professionally
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs and lifestyle
• Perform basic adjustments and repairs
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Support the fitting and dispensing of contact lenses
• Conduct preliminary pre-tests and measurements
• Work towards achieving store sales targets
• Support marketing initiatives and special events
