Overview

Role: External Sales Manager

Location: Nottingham

Pay rate/Salary: Base Salary £40k to £45k + Bonus Available

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday

Type: Permanent - Office/Field based

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

My client is a leading Electrical Wholesaler, one of the largest in the UK, recruiting for an External Sales Manager for their Nottingham Branch.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and increase sales in the branch's geographical area.
  • Continuously identify and develop new and existing business accounts.
  • Develop strong customer relationships to maximise the full potential of all accounts.
  • Maintain resilience and not fear rejection, whether on the phone or face to face.
  • Work as part of a tightly knit team to achieve high standards of business excellence.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Electrical Wholesale experience.
  • Cold calling on the telephone; willingness and tenacity.
  • Ability to approach companies directly and identify suitable target companies.
  • Able to demonstrate sample products confidently face to face to potential clients.
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
  • Ability to independently plan, organise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Smartly presented with a professional company image.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • Punctual, reliable and able to demonstrate effective time management.
  • Career focused, hardworking and ambitious.
  • Strong telephone skills.
  • Positive, ambitious and driven with excellent listening/communication skills.
  • Experience of the wholesale industry would be advantageous but not essential.
