Overview

Role: External Sales Manager

Location: Tonbridge

Pay rate/Salary: Base Salary 40k to £50k + Performance Related Bonus

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday

Type: Permanent - Office/Field based

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

Note: My client is a leading Electrical Wholesaler, one of the largest in the UK, recruiting for an External Sales Manager in their Tonbridge Branch.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and increase sales in the branch's geographical area.
  • Continually identify and develop new and existing business accounts.
  • Develop strong customer relationships to maximise the full potential of all accounts.
  • Be proactive and not be deterred by rejection, whether on the phone or face to face.
  • Work as part of a tightly knit team to achieve high standards of business excellence.
Essential Skills
  • Electrical Wholesale experience
  • Cold calling on the telephone; willingness and tenacity
  • Ability to approach companies directly and identify suitable target companies
  • Ability to demonstrate sample products confidently face to face to potential clients
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
  • Ability to independently plan, organise and work to tight deadlines
  • Smartly presented; professional company image
  • A valid UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
  • Punctual, reliable and able to demonstrate effective time management
  • Career focused, hardworking and ambitious
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Positive, ambitious and driven with excellent listening/communication skills
  • Experience of the wholesale industry would be advantageous but not essential
