A leading veterinary practice in the UK is seeking an experienced Vet to join their team. Responsibilities include preparing export health certificates, managing relationships with clients, and ensuring compliance with export requirements for pets. We certify for export pets and products of animal origin. We have an exciting opportunity as our company continues to grow, for additional Vet to become a member of our team.
Tasks may vary from day to day depending on business needs but will include the following :
Preparing and signing EHCs. This means you’ll have to check the requirements and the certificates’ notes for guidance and current legislation, and you will need to gather the necessary supporting documents. You or Certification Support Officer on your disposal will have to inspect the goods, integrity of the packaging and labelling.
Sending the appropriate documentation to the agreed timescale and emailing certified copies to all relevant parties.
Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with company’s team members and export customers.
Be able to understand the export requirements of various species of Pets to various countries, and to be able to confidentially administer vaccinations and treatments in preparation for their compliance for their successful export. There will also be a requirement for you to be able to carry out health checks to issue fit-to-travel or any other documents required for their export from the UK.
A proactive learner, open to direction and eager to contribute to a growing business.
Experience or basic knowledge in export certification is essential.
Travel between export locations / clients will be needed.
Managing Certification Support Officer on your disposal.
40 hours per week.
Monday to Friday.
Occasional early start, late finish or weekend work may be required.
