Job summary

A freight forwarding company based in Felixstowe is seeking an experienced Export Manager to oversee all export operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and compliant movement of goods internationally and manage relationships with overseas agents. Key responsibilities include coordinating shipments, preparing export documentation, and compliance with customs requirements. Excellent negotiation and organizational skills are essential in this role. The position offers 22 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays.

Overview

Our well established Freight Forwarding client based in Felixstowe is looking for an experienced Export Manager to oversee and manage all export operations ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods to international destinations.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor export shipments from origin to destination.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms.
  • Prepare and verify export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
  • Negotiate rates and services with carriers, shipping lines, and agents.
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with overseas agents and partners for smooth operations.
  • Monitor shipment tracking and proactively address delays or disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports for management.
