Right Now Group are recruiting an experienced Air Export Gateway Clerk for a leading global logistics company in the Heathrow area. The role supports international freight movements, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, on time and in compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating export gateway activity, consolidations, airline allocations and flight planning, while maintaining high standards of customer service and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in Air Export Operations
• Strong understanding of export procedures and customs documentation
• Experience with export consolidations and airline allocations is advantageous
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• High accuracy, good numeracy and IT skills; ability to learn new systems quickly

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Export Gateway Clerk on behalf of a leading global logistics company based in the Heathrow area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and fast-paced export gateway operation, supporting international freight movements and ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines.

Working closely with customers, overseas partners and internal Operations teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating export gateway activity, including consolidations, airline allocations and flight planning, while maintaining high standards of customer service, compliance and operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Gateway Clerk

• Manage daily communication with customers, overseas partners and internal departments via email and telephone.
• Liaise with local and international Operations teams to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and within required deadlines.
• Coordinate export gateway processes, including consolidations, airline allocations and flight planning.
• Ensure all export documentation is completed accurately and in line with commodity, airline and country-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate and high-quality shipment data across company systems.
• Take responsibility for accurate shipment costing, invoicing and billing.
• Support the wider Operations team in achieving daily KPIs and performance targets.
• Monitor shipments and proactively identify any potential operational issues.
• Investigate and resolve operational queries efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and ensure customers and partners are kept updated where required.
• Ensure all operational activity is completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures.

Skills & Experience Required for an Air Export Gateway Clerk

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within Air Export Operations, ideally within a freight forwarding or gateway environment.
• Strong understanding of export procedures, airline requirements and customs documentation.
• Previous experience working with export consolidations and airline allocations would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with good numeracy skills.
• Confident IT user with the ability to learn new systems quickly.Experience using CargoWise would be advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous approach.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and high service standards.

• Salary of £32,000 - £34,000 + £2,500 shift allowance.
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
