Job summary

White Recruitment is recruiting an Air Export Operator to manage shipments from initial booking through to final delivery. The role requires handling air export processes, documentation, and coordination with airlines, agents and freight partners.

You will track shipments, resolve delays, and provide proactive updates to customers while maintaining strong attention to detail and teamwork within the operations group.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check Air Waybills and shipping documents.
• Coordinate collections, deliveries and onward transport.
• Liaise with customers, airlines and overseas agents.
• Track shipments and manage delays or issues proactively.
• Maintain shipment records and update internal systems.
• Provide customers with regular shipment updates.
• Collaborate with wider operations team to ensure seamless service.

Position: Air Export Operator

Hours: Hybrid Working | Monday to Friday 8:30am – 17:00pm

Salary: Up to £36,000

The Role

As an Air Export Operator, you’ll take ownership of shipments from initial booking through to final delivery, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers receive an exceptional level of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end process for air export shipments
• Arranging bookings with airlines, agents and freight partners
• Preparing and checking export documentation
• Coordinating collections, deliveries and onward transportation
• Liaising with customers, airlines, overseas agents and other stakeholders
• Tracking shipments and proactively managing any delays or issues
• Preparing Air Waybills and relevant shipping documentation
• Coordinating export customs clearance and ensuring compliance
• Maintaining accurate shipment records and updating internal systems
• Providing customers with regular updates throughout the shipment process
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider operations team to ensure a seamless service

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Air Export Operator who understands the importance of accuracy, communication and customer service.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience within air freight/export operations
• Strong knowledge of the air export process from booking through to delivery
• Experience with export documentation and customs procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
• The ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
• A proactive approach to problem-solving
• The ability to work effectively within an established team
