Executive Programme Officer (Chief Programmes Officer)

WRAP is a global environmental action NGO championing the shift towards a circular economy. As Chief Programmes Officer (CPO), you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering WRAP's global programme portfolio. Sitting on the Executive Team and reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic direction across all programme areas and all geographies – from resource management and circular economy initiatives to food system transformation, packaging, and textiles.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and shape WRAP’s global programme portfolio across multiple geographies.
  • Provide strategic direction and ensure alignment with commercial, economic, and social drivers.
  • Oversee dual delivery model to ensure quality, consistency, and impact.
  • Collaborate with policymakers, businesses, NGOs, and citizens to catalyse action.
  • Represent WRAP on executive leadership forums and drive long‑term strategy.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in at least one core WRAP programme area (food systems, packaging, textiles/fashion, behaviour change, or resource management (NetZero)).
  • Excellent communication, partnership‑building, and convening skills, with credibility across diverse audiences.
  • Remote working / work‑at‑home options are available.
Benefits

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 + 10% pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 37.5 hour working week, up to 13 flexi‑days, private medical insurance, life assurance, and more.
