Location: Temple, London

Contract Length: 9 months (Maternity Cover, potential to extend!)

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

As an Executive Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in the administration of chambers, including:

Barrister Administration:

  • Manage annual renewals for Practising Certificates and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes for new tenants and members.
  • Organise in-house training and maintain CPD requirements.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Head of Chambers and members, including diary and travel management.

General Administration:

  • Coordinate internal meetings and support senior management with scheduling.
  • Assist Finance Manager with invoicing and expenses.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Pupillage Administration:

  • Assist in organising mini-pupillages and university events.
  • Prepare welcome packs and coordinate logistics for pupillage-related events.

Marketing and Events Support:

  • Support the Marketing Manager in coordinating events and trips for senior management.
  • Help arrange marketing-related logistics and materials.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Oversee weekly chambers tea and drinks, and organise gifts for special occasions.
  • Maintain and update administration intranet pages and newsletters.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in diary management and a professional telephone manner.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and understanding of GDPR requirements.
Contract Terms
  • Core working hours: 9 am - 6 pm (one hour for lunch).
  • 5 days per week in office during probation (3 months), 1 day from home thereafter.
  • 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, with specific holiday limitations during legal term times.
  • Private Medical Insurance and pension scheme membership.
