Job description

Role:

Big C’s events are vital for raising those much-needed funds to help support those affected by cancer in our county. For their events to run smoothly, safely, and successfully, they value and rely heavily on the support of volunteers.

The roles of volunteers could include but are not limited to:

  1. Crowd Stewarding.
  2. Car Park Marshalling.
  3. Events Support.
  4. Bucket Collections.
  5. Information Stalls.
  6. Registration of cyclists/runners.
  7. Greeting and cheering on participants.
  8. Adhering to, and encouraging others to follow Big C’s health and safety policies.
  9. Undertaking any other reasonable volunteer duties that may be appropriate in order to help achieve Big C’s objectives.

About the organisation:

As a regional cancer charity, Big C is dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties whilst working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes.

There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. Big C seeks and implements new approaches and projects to make sure that no one is missing out on the opportunity to access our support. Big C’s work focuses on 6 key areas: support, research, equipment, education, income generation, and people.
