Job summary

Bedspace is seeking an Evening Support Worker to join its Out of Hours and Duty Team in the Liverpool catchment area including Manchester and Preston. The role covers 2 pm–12 am or 12–12 shifts, with alternating weekends.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for travel to service users’ homes. You will work with diverse groups, including families and asylum-seekers, providing welfare visits, managing a caseload, and responding to emergencies while safeguarding adults and

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting people with complex support needs.
• Comfortable with lone-working and out-of-hours work.
• Experience working anti-social hours and flexible shifts.
• Resilience and ability to support a diverse client group.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle; computer literacy.
• Good interpersonal skills and safeguarding knowledge.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Handling emergency referrals.
• Providing welfare visits to Service Users who recently moved in.
• Managing a caseload of Service Users with evening support needs.
• Dealing with ASB and noise complaints.
• Responding to emergencies.
