Job summary

Bedspace in Liverpool is seeking a proactive support worker for the Liverpool Adults and NHS Outreach team, delivering 1:1 housing-related support to adults and families in temporary accommodation.

You will manage caseloads, liaise with Social Workers and healthcare teams, document reports, and support independent living skills while travelling across Liverpool. A full UK driving licence and safeguarding knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting disadvantaged people to gain independence.
• Experience with complex casework incl. mental health.
• Full driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across Liverpool.
• Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children.
• Willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and help service users develop independent living skills.
• Liaise with Social Workers, Healthcare practitioners and Police.
• Write detailed reports assessing independent living skills.
• Complete weekly property inspections; housing background desirable.
• Support access to education and employment.
• Promote wellbeing and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Signpost to services including mental health and rehab.
