Job summary

Bedspace Trust is seeking an Evening Support Worker to join the Out of Hours & Duty Team across Merseyside. You will work 2pm-12am across Liverpool, Manchester & Preston, supporting diverse groups including homelessness, asylum seekers, and individuals with complex needs.

You will drive between sites with a full UK licence, work 3 shifts one week and 4 the next, and coordinate with professionals to ensure safe, person-centred support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Experience working anti-social hours.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT and record-keeping skills.
• Resilience with a person-centred approach.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Support across provisions in the evenings, with varied duties.
• Respond to emergency referrals and safeguarding concerns.
• Carry out welfare visits and support housing-related needs.
• Liaise with professionals to resolve issues and ensure safe support.
