DSV – Global transport and logistics in Harwich seeks a proactive Cross Trade & Dedicated Transport Operator to join the International Operations Team. The role covers bookings, cross-trade and dedicated transports, ensuring smooth delivery and continuous coverage during peak periods.

You will build strong customer relationships, handle quotations, monitor shipments and support customs, with a focus on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience within transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or customer service.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience with European transport operations is desirable.
• Understanding of customs processes is advantageous.
• Good IT skills and experience with transport management systems.
• High attention to detail and robust administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage part load and full load cross-trade shipments across Europe and related movements.
• Accept and process customer bookings accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor shipments proactively and resolve exceptions to delivery.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders; provide updates.
• Prepare quotations and support commercial objectives; ensure compliance and records.
