Job summary

DSV is seeking a Customer Service Agent–Export Operator in Immingham to manage export shipments and export customer services for general and key accounts. You will collaborate with UK offices, coordinate collections, and guide warehouse teams to ensure compliant, timely operations.

The role requires proactive, detail‑oriented communication, familiarity with MS Office, and knowledge of freight/transport. A compelling benefits package accompanies the opportunity within our global logistics network.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to ensure traffic requirements align with booking instructions.
• Receive bookings from UK exporters via online platform or email.
• Contact UK offices to arrange collections.
• Instruct UK Warehouse and Distribution teams for loading/offloading cargo.
• Liaise with other DSV offices in the UK and abroad, reporting discrepancies or specific requirements.
• Ensure legislative and procedural compliance and safe working environment.
• Handle general administration such as invoicing, filing, queries and POD.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers, suppliers and offices.

Mon-Fri 9:00-17:00 or 08:00 – 16:00

The successful candidate will be dealing with Export shipments and Export customer services, for general accounts and larger key account customers.

What will you be doing?

• Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions.
• Receive bookings from UK Exporters either via our online booking platform or by e-mail
• Contact UK places to book in collections.
• Instructing UK Warehouse and Distribution teams for loading/offloading of cargo to vehicles using our Transport Management System.
• Liaise with other DSV offices in the UK and abroad, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements.
• Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
• Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. invoicing, filing, queries, claims, POD handling
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices, as required by operational procedures.

About You

• Previousexperience within freight/transport would beadvantageous
• Self-driven, good attention to details with a positive outlook
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
