Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC seeks an ESME Application Engineer to lead the design and optimization of manufacturing processes for Energy Store components and enclosures. You will ensure safe operation and drive Build-In-Quality through process improvements.

Applicants should have a engineering degree, 2+ years in battery pack assembly, and experience with industrial robots and CAD tools. A strong cross-functional team player with a hands-on mindset is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2+ years in battery pack assembly engineering or similar.
Experience programming industrial robots.
Proficient in 3D CAD software (CATIA/NX/SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

Lead design and optimization of manufacturing processes for Energy Store (ES) and Energy Store Main Enclosure (ESME).
Develop in-process and end-of-line quality procedures with QA.
Create and maintain manufacturing operation work instructions.
Collaborate with ERS Assembly Manager and HV Safety Supervisor to meet safety and quality standards.
