GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking an ESME Application Engineer to lead the design and optimization of ES/ESME manufacturing processes and ensure safe, high-quality battery pack assembly.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2+ years in battery pack assembly, robotics programming experience, and CAD proficiency. You will collaborate with safety and quality teams to drive Built-In Quality in a fast-paced motorsport environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of battery pack assembly engineering experience.
• Experience programming industrial robots.
• Proficient in CAD software for design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of ES and ESME manufacturing processes.
• Design and analyze production processes with safety in mind.
• Develop in-process and end-of-line quality procedures.
• Contribute to design to achieve Built-In Quality.
• Perform root-cause analysis and document learnings.
• Create and maintain assembly work instructions.
• Document assembly process developments clearly.
• Coordinate with ERS Assembly Manager and HV Safety Supervisor on standards.
