Job summary

A consulting firm in Aberdeen is seeking an ESG Consultant to support clients in delivering on ESG commitments. You will ensure compliance, drive improvements, and build stakeholder relationships. Candidates should have proven experience in ESG and a relevant degree. This is a contract role with daily rates between £300 and £350 for 6-12 months.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, UN SDGs).
• Understanding of supply chain ESG, governance, and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary ESG liaison between client, vendors, and the client.
• Assess and monitor supplier ESG commitments against agreed standards.
• Develop and deliver ESG action plans, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.

Skills

Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility

Education

This role is all about ensuring ESG compliance, driving continuous improvement, and building strong stakeholder relationships - a chance to make a real impact in a high-profile programme.

• Act as the primary ESG liaison between client, vendors, and the client.
• Assess and monitor supplier ESG commitments against agreed standards
• Develop and deliver ESG action plans, KPIs, and reporting frameworks
• Track and report progress against ESG objectives, ensuring audit-ready evidence
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across ESG performance

About you:

• Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, UN SDGs)
• Background in public sector or consultancy projects (preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Understanding of supply chain ESG, governance, and audit processes
• Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Social Policy or equivalent
