Job description

R&M Electrical Group Ltd are an internationally renowned supplier of Electrical Containment, Pipe Supports and Prefabricated solutions to the Building Services Industry. We are looking to employ an ERP Systems & Software Specialist to join our busy office department in Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh.

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled ERP Systems & Software Specialist to lead the management, development, and training of our ERP system Klipboard's ERP One (previously Kerridge Commercial Systems - K8) and associated software platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring our systems are optimised for performance and usability, and that staff are well-trained and supported in their use.

Key Responsibilities
ERP System Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and performance of the Klipboard (previously Kerridge Commercial Systems) ERP system.
  • Manage system upgrades, performance testing, and documentation of new releases.
  • Maintain accurate ERP product files and documentation.
  • Lead or coordinate system changes and upgrades through structured change management processes, including risk assessment, testing, approval, and documentation.
  • Plan and deliver ERP enhancement projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with IT and department heads to manage business change, communication, and post-implementation review.
  • Maintain audit records of all ERP changes in line with company compliance and ISO 27001 change control requirements.
Training & Development
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programmes for staff across departments.
  • Create and maintain training materials and user guides tailored to business needs.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to ensure staff remain up to date with system changes and best practices.
Support & Troubleshooting
  • Lead the support function for ERP and related software, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Log, track, and report on support calls and recurring issues to inform system improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.
Process Improvement
  • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for system and workflow enhancements.
  • Provide input into digital development initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in line with Health & Safety and Quality Control systems.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing ERP systems (preferably Klipboard's ERP One (previously Kerridge Commercial Systems K8 or similar).
  • Strong background in training delivery and instructional design.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Experience in process improvement and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and release documentation.
  • Experience in change management or project coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage ERP upgrade projects or system improvement initiatives from planning through to implementation.
