Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Application Support Administrator to support the EPR and clinical/administrative applications, ensuring reliable operation for end users in Birmingham. You will provide day-to-day administration, configuration and optimisation across the EPR, PAS and related systems as the digital environment evolves.

In this permanent, full-time role, you will deliver first and second-line support, log requests in ITSM, contribute to testing

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line application support, ensuring incidents and service requests are investigated and resolved promptly and to an appropriate standard.
• Log and manage complex user support requests within the ITSM system, ensuring accurate and detailed information is captured to support effective resolution.
• Provide specialist application support for the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR, PAS, T-Pro and other associated clinical and administrative applications.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical, functional and system-specific knowledge to support the safe, reliable and effective use of these applications.
• Understand clinical and administrative processes and patient pathways, identifying where information is entered, required, exchanged, ordered, reported, validated, audited and stored.
• Work with clinical and operational teams to identify system-related bottlenecks and opportunities to improve existing models of care, clinical pathways and administrative processes.
• Undertake the day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance and optimisation of supported applications, ensuring systems remain available, appropriately configured and fit for purpose.
• Maintain the integrity, quality and accuracy of information held within the EPR, PAS, T‑Pro and associated systems, taking appropriate action where recurring data-quality issues are identified.
