A forward-thinking food safety organization in the New Forest is seeking a part-time Environmental Health Officer. The role entails conducting inspections, health and safety investigations, and managing complaints related to food safety. We are looking for a part time Environmental Health Officer to join our forward-thinking Food and Safety team, although we will also consider your application if you are a Technical Officer. Your varied role includes food safety inspections, health and safety and accident investigations, infectious disease control, skin piercing registration, caravan site licensing, and investigation of complaints.
If you are an enthusiastic and innovative EHO, and will positively contribute to driving the service forward, we would love you to join our team. You will need to use your own initiative, be proactive and work well in a team and alone.
EHO minimum requirement: a BSc or MSc degree or equivalent in Environmental Health
If you are an EHTO, we are still interested in hearing from you: 3 A levels (including 1 science) or an equivalent BTEC or NVQ Level3in a science subjectand Higher Certificate in Food Control/Food Premises Inspection.
Our offices in Lyndhurst are in the centre of the picturesque New Forest, with open plan layout and modern meeting spaces. There is also the opportunity to work remotely and out on district.
