Overview

We are supporting a growing strategy and architecture consultancy working with leading financial services organisations across banking, insurance, and capital markets.

The Enterprise Architecture Manager role sits at the centre of complex transformation initiatives, partnering with senior leaders to align business strategy, technology direction, and operating models in highly regulated environments.

The Role

As an Enterprise Architecture Manager, you will lead enterprise-wide architecture engagements and act as a trusted advisor to client executives.

The Enterprise Architecture Manager translates business strategy into clear, pragmatic architecture direction, balancing long-term transformation goals with near-term delivery priorities. This role combines architecture leadership, senior stakeholder engagement, and team oversight within a consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership
  • Define and own enterprise and domain architectures aligned to strategy, regulation, and delivery roadmaps
  • Develop target architectures, capability models, and transition states for large-scale change
  • Ensure architectural decisions support value, resilience, and regulatory compliance
Client Advisory
  • Act as a senior architecture advisor to CIO, CTO, Chief Architect, and business leaders
  • Lead architecture governance, design authorities, and strategy workshops
  • Provide clear, credible guidance in complex, high-pressure environments
Delivery Enablement
  • Ensuring architectural coherence across programmes and portfolios
  • Balancing agile delivery with enterprise standards and controls
  • Identifying and managing architecture risk, technical debt, and dependencies
Consulting Contribution
  • Support propositions, bids, and thought leadership
  • Mentor architects within client and consulting teams
  • Contribute to the growth of the architecture practice
Experience & Capabilities
  • Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture leadership, ideally within consultancy
  • Strong financial services background (banking, insurance, capital markets, or wealth)
  • Experience operating across enterprise-scale change initiatives
  • Solid grounding in EA methods and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, capability modelling)
  • Strong understanding of modern technology landscapes (cloud, data, integration)
  • Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
