English Teacher (Long Term Supply)

Location & Hours

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Duration: Long Term

Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and exemplary English Teacher to join our educational team for a long-term supply position in London. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our learning community, providing exceptional educational experiences and fostering a nurturing environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and dynamic English lessons that adhere to the national curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to the needs of all students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and disciplined learning space.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary education level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
