Engineering Team Leader

Location - Leicester

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday - 7am to 3pm

Salary - £53,425

We are recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to join a well renowned FMCG Manufacturer in Leicestershire. You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers, advocating continuous improvement, and consistently maintaining high standards as well as a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers and technicians across multiple shifts
• Plan and coordinate weekly and monthly maintenance activity, ensuring parts and resources are available
• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance on complex manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, coordinating fault-finding and implementing long‑term corrective actions
• Use CMMS data to analyse performance, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform 1‑1s with Engineers, and manage their KPIs
• Support small capital and improvement projects

Requirements

• Level 3 equivalent qualifications in Engineering, such as (NVQ, BTEC etc)
• Strong experience within both electrical and mechanical principles
• Experience within an FMCG environment
• Experience in a similar role, such as (engineering lead, lead engineer, senior engineer, maintenance team leader, maintenance shift leader, engineering supervisor)
• Ability to work independently
