The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Support Operative to join their team within a major UK distribution centre. This role offers exposure to cutting‑edge automation and the chance to work alongside a multi‑skilled engineering team in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary & Shift Pattern
  • £32,500 per annum
  • 4 on 4 off – days and nights
Your Responsibilities

You will support engineering and maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime, safety compliance, and overall productivity. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting operational and functionality checks
  • Performing cleaning, adjustments, lubrication, and general monitoring of equipment
  • Identifying root causes of issues and supporting permanent corrective solutions
  • Assisting with planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Supporting jam‑busting and operational procedures
  • Accurately recording all work completed to maintain utilisation records
