Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced and aspiring Engineering Design Managers to join our Real Estate team on critical national infrastructure projects. You will lead design input from concept to delivery, ensuring builds are safe, compliant and efficient.

You will manage multi-disciplinary engineers, coordinate with clients and consultants, and drive innovative, sustainable solutions while embedding health, safety and environmental considerations across the asset

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and managing consultant performance.
• Knowledge and experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments.
• Degree qualified in engineering discipline (Mechanical or Building Services).
• Chartered Engineer status preferred with professional bodies.
• Excellent communication with clients and staff; results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from consultants and partner companies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients on project issues and scope changes.
• Drive innovative, practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into design work.
• Ensure integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions.
