Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design input from early concepts through delivery on prestigious infrastructure projects in the UK. You will collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure buildable, compliant and innovative solutions that meet regulatory requirements.

Successful candidates will have strong experience delivering integrated design across civil, structural and mechanical/electrical interfaces, with BIM knowledge and

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (Electrical preferred)
• Chartered Engineer status preferred
• Experience managing design through full lifecycle
• Strong BIM knowledge and data environments
• Excellent communication with clients and staff
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD or Revit)

Responsibilities

• Lead design input on multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to manage external design consultants and contractors.
• Direct multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from consultants and partner companies.
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations in design solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, engineering managers and contractors on scope and risk.
