Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design input from concept through delivery on major national infrastructure projects. You will work with clients to ensure buildability, compliance, and efficiency of design solutions, coordinating with consultants and internal teams.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, collaboration, and strong communication to deliver high-quality outcomes across sectors like transport, defence, real estate and highways.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of design and management experience on complex projects.
• Experience across multi-disciplinary design delivery and procurement routes.
• Strong BIM and data environment knowledge (CDE) and CAD familiarity.
• Excellent communication for liaising with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager to manage contracts with external design consultants.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers in project design delivery.
• Evaluate designs and solutions for fit, performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and design coordinators across disciplines.
• Liaise with clients, managers, contractors and consultants on project issues.
