Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

You’ll join our embedded software team to build and verify software for safety‑critical systems. Working with experienced engineers, you will learn our development lifecycle, contribute to deliverables, and grow your skills through hands‑on projects, mentorship, and training.

  • Translate requirements into design, implementation, and verification for embedded software
  • Follow defined standards, procedures, and quality requirements for regulated environments
  • Prepare and present technical findings to internal stakeholders
  • Document designs, code, tests, and results consistent with engineering policies
  • Participate in cross‑functional initiatives and team stand‑ups
  • Share ideas openly and help improve team practices and tools
  • Provide timely updates on risks, issues, and progress; support short‑term planning to resolve blockers
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • Programming experience in at least one of C/C++ or Python; familiarity with version control
  • Understanding of embedded systems concepts (e.g., interrupts, memory, real‑time constraints) from coursework, projects, or internships
  • Strong problem‑solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and domains; dependable at planning and prioritising tasks
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience of the software design lifecycle within aerospace, automotive or similar development environment, this could have been gained through a placement / internship, or from direct work experience
  • Exposure to real‑time operating systems (RTOS) or safety‑critical development
  • Knowledge of DO‑178C
  • Knowledge of model based design
