Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking an experienced social worker to support customers and colleagues from our Coventry office. The role is office-based with travel across locations as needed and requires a 37.5-hour, Monday–Friday schedule.

You will conduct needs assessments, develop support plans, and coordinate referrals to authorities while safeguarding concerns are identified. A Social Work Degree and current registration with Social Work England are essential.

Qualifications

• Social Work Degree and current registration with Social Work England.
• ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year of Employment) required.
• Experience in adult social care and mental health settings.
• Willingness to travel and driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a range of customers who have various needs and conduct assessments and support plans.
• Refer to local authorities where appropriate, recognising safeguarding concerns.
• Signpost customers to support sources and offer appropriate packages.
• Carry out follow-ups to ensure cases reach resolution.
• Collaborate with other agencies and make referrals where needed.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Offer ongoing dynamic support to energy specialists.
