Job summary

Essex Police is seeking a 2nd line IT End User Computing Support specialist based in Chelmsford. The role involves supporting Windows 11 and Office 365 across Essex and Kent Police, managing end-user devices and OS platforms, and working both remotely and in-office with some home-working flexibility.

You will need ITIL knowledge, strong communication, and a valid driving licence to interact with officers and staff while delivering reliable IT support services.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Windows 11 troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of core Microsoft Office apps including Office 365.
• Strong communication skills from customer service experience.
• Hold a valid driving licence.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Fundamental networking knowledge.
• Understanding ITIL principles in a service desk context.

Responsibilities

• Join the 2nd line IT End User Computing Support team and support Windows 11 across Essex and Kent Police.
• Install, manage and fix a wide range of end-user devices and operating platforms.
• Provide remote and office-based support with some flexibility for home working.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and uphold ITIL practices.
