Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a passionate social worker to support customers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment. The role is primarily office-based in Brighton, with frequent travel to different locations and a focus on safeguarding, assessments, and tailored support plans.

You will work with a range of customers, assess needs, consider ability to pay, and refer to local authorities as appropriate. The role requires a Social Work Degree and current registration with Social Work England,

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with substantial experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Registration with Social Work England and a Social Work degree are required.
• ASYE is required; Practice Educator qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments, create support plans, and refer to local authorities as appropriate.
• Assess customers' ability to pay and recommend best support actions.
• Signpost to sources of help and proactively offer relevant support packages.
• Carry out customer follow-ups to ensure resolution and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other agencies and make referrals when needed.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide ongoing dynamic support to energy specialists.
