Qualifications

  • Qualifications or demonstrable experience required.
  • Ability to work shift patterns essential.
  • Strong communication skills necessary.
  • NHS experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Emergency Department is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reception service to Emergency Department and Clinical Decisions Unit.
  • Answer telephone queries related to patient attendance.
  • Communicate effectively between clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Participate in the department's rota system including nights and weekends.
  • Alert triage nurse of potentially unwell patients.
