Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Design Manager to join our EMEA Design and Construction team. You’ll lead end-to-end design delivery for critical data centre projects across Europe and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts and external consultants to ensure our facilities meet exact engineering standards.

The role requires extensive experience in mission-critical design, strong M&E knowledge, and the ability to travel internationally up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design delivery of mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life safety and control systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with construction, finance, sales, and operations teams.
• Provide engineering oversight: budget, schedule, and product delivery.
• Identify engineering risks early in the design phase to protect timelines.
